My Life So Far - Biography

Although some attribute it to a short attention span, Oglio Recording Artist Bill Frenzer has had a wildly, wonderfully varied comedy career for over thirty years as a performer, writer, producer and actor on stage, film, TV radio and recording.

As a founding member of Omaha's legendary comedy band The Ogden Edsl Wahalia Blues Ensemble Mondo Bizzario Band (made famous on the Dr. Demento show for their classic hit "Dead Puppies Aren't Much Fun”), Bill and his partners Bill Carey, Rich Thieman, Otis Twelve and over 150 other musicians, writers, and performers conspired to create comedy madness in every conceivable context:

Starting out in sketch and improv comedy in Omaha with Pat Proft and Tom Sherohman at Sweetness and Light and Megan Terry's Magic Theatre, they branched into Syndicated Radio comedy with their nationally syndicated "Adventures of The Ogden Edsl Wahalia Bules Ensemble Mondo Bizzario Band," produced comedy TV and Radio spots,  then followed up with their long-before-You Tube video shorts, and their hit album "Stuffed." After years of touring America's colleges and cabaret's - opening for everyone from Country Joe and the Fish, to Leo Kotke and Weird Al Yankovic, they made a move to Hollywood to Co-star with Budge Threlkeld in the nationally syndicated "Sam Diego" TV show, their "Midnight Mondo" show on KROQ, and headlining at the Comedy Store, and the Whiskey. Bill has also opened for X and Oingo Boingo.

Bill then joined forces with his teacher/mentor Sheroman, Threlkeld, Tony Marando, and "Airplane's" Steven Stucker to produce the sold-out "Limbo Lounge" and "Bitter Brothers" shows at the Oglio Theatre before opening Disney's Pleasure Island in Orlando.

Bill's film credits include guest starring rolls in "The Onion Movie," "The Ferguson's,"

"The Silencers," "The Secret Life of Houses," "The Art of Dying," and "Roadie."

He was featured on NBC's California Dreams, Comedy Central's "Dr. Demento's 20th Anniversary Show," "60 Mimics" on USA cable, and "Maynard's Musical Mailroom" for A&M Records."  Recently, he's been seen as the "Shin Wacker Judge" on the Las Vegas; Convention Bureau National spot.

His recording credits include "Stuffed," "Mower of the Ogden Edsl," "Songs in the Key of Arrrgahhaaa," and his new release, "I'm Happy Now," available on Oglio Records.

Bill continues to write, record, and appear on stage with Keith Johnson, (Trumpet-Producer-Arranger for Etta James, Van Morrison, and Paul Butterfield) and his Ogden Edsl partner Bill Carey, his Corporate Jester corporate speaker's program, and as a regular as "The Man in The Moon" with the Mums at the Magic Castle, and search for roles in Film and TV and other theatre projects.  Apparently, he just gets bored easily.
